The one-day event for children and school classes is built around the topic of cultural heritage. The programme has been ongoing since 2008, by invitation, but it can also be organised upon request, and can be included in special school programmes.

As an extracurricular activity, by visiting the Bánffy Castle in Bonțida, the children will discover, in an interactive way, the history of the Bánffy family and of their castle in Bonțida, as well as the everyday life of the Transylvanian aristocracy. Within a guided tour, they will learn more about building phases of the castle, as well as about the Renaissance, Baroque, Classicist, Neo-Gothic and Romantic architectural styles in a playful way, observing their characteristics on the architectural ensemble. They will also explore the world of historical dances. The programme is complemented by a drawing and handicraft workshop. The grassy courtyard of the castle, the outdoor “horse family”, namely the playground with wooen rocking horses and the sun swings provide an excellent framework for joint play and careless fun.
