The café was opened in 2001 in the castle’s first restored building, welcoming everybody with its elderberry drink in the spring, ice cream in the summer, as well as hot chocolate and chilled beer. Our visitors can also buy here the Transylvanian Trilogy written by the castle’s last owner, Count Miklós Bánffy, either in Hungarian, or in its Romanian or English translations, as well as other books and publications related to the castle. The gift shop is also located in the café.

Summer opening hours: from 1 April to 1 November from 10:00 to 18:00.

Winter opening hours: from 1 November to 1 April Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
